The Lil Nipper's patented safety slot is precisely engineered for different age groups, ensuring only nails can pass through while preventing fingers from entering. Here's how to determine which size is right for you:

Infant/Toddler Model (0-5 years): 0.015 inches wide. About as thick as 3 sheets of printer paper. Perfect for delicate baby and toddler nails. Similar to a thin business card's thickness.

Child Model (5-13 years): 0.035 inches wide. Comparable to a standard credit card thickness. Fits growing children's nails comfortably.

Adult Model (13+ years): 0.055 inches wide. Slightly thinner than a nickel coin. Accommodates most adult nail sizes. Similar to 2 credit cards stacked together.

Quick Test Method: If you're unsure which size to choose, try this simple test: If a credit card fits comfortably where you'd insert your nail, the Child size should work. If you need something wider (like 2 credit cards), choose the Adult size. For babies and toddlers, the Infant size is specifically designed for their tiny, delicate nails.

The Lil Nipper is available in Adult size which is blue, Child size which is green, and Infant sizes which is purple.

Age 5 is the handoff point usually and if the nail is close to the thickness of a credit card, move up to the Child size.

If their ages fall into different size ranges, yes. The slots are different widths, so a toddler and an older child each need their own size.

You can guide your nail into the safety slot and place your finger pad over the slow without reaching the internal blade. The safety slot means you don't need to see the exact edge to trim safely.

Your desired nail length is determined by how little or how much of your nail you insert into the nail-slot. If you prefer a shorter nail result, just go over nail again.

Yes! You have full control of how much nail is trimmed by how much nail is inserted into the nail-slot. For shorter nails, tip your finger allowing more nail into the slot or go over nail again.

No. The nail clipper makes a smooth cut. Your nails will have a soft edge after trimming. Sometimes it can take a couple tries to get the feel of it, but once you do, you won't go back.

Neither! These Lil Nipper devices introduce an entirely NEW way to maintain your nail by using a surgical-grade stainless steel blade that precisely trims slivers of your nails. Feel confident that the safety plate protects any skin from contacting the blades so just your nails get trimmed. Always!

Trimmed nails drop into a hidden compartment to be discarded later. No mess! Just slide the bottom tray to dispose.

The device creates a "nee-naw" sound and is just like other electronic devices that have a motor like a toothbrush or razor. Tt's not loud.

No. The blade is self-sharpening.

It works great on toenails of infants and kids. Adults who can reach their toenail have found the trimmers quite effective if the nail is able to fit into the slot.

No. Every human has a unique fingernail and toenail shape, size, and curve, so results may vary. If a nail does not fit through the slot because of length (too short) or thickness, the blade may not make contact with the nail and may not produce the desired result.

Press the nail firmly into the slot and hold it there for 2 seconds. If it still won't trim, make sure the device is charged and that the nail fits in the slot.

When nails are dry and firm usually. If nails are brittle and really hard, soak nails briefly to soften them up a little.

The blinking light is a low battery indicator. While charging, your Lil Nipper is fully charged when the blinking light stops.

No! We do not recommend exposing the clipper to water but you can wipe down with water and a gentle soap. The exterior of Lil Nipper is antimicrobial so it is hygienic too!

Returns Within the United States

Not satisfied? Send it back within 90 days. You have two options for getting it to us:

1. Ship it back yourself using the carrier of your choice. Email us at help@clipdifferent.com for the address.
2. Ask us for a prepaid return label. We'll email one over, and the cost of that label will simply be deducted from your refund once the device arrives.

Either way, we'll issue your refund for the product as soon as we receive it. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Need a different size or model instead? Same two options apply. Ship it to us or use a label from us with the cost deducted from what we credit you toward the exchange.

International Returns

International customers may return the device within 90 days. We can provide a return shipping label, but return shipping costs will be deducted from your refund. Original shipping charges and any customs fees are non-refundable.
